Games Privacy Policy
Last updated October 21, 2026
This policy covers every game made by The Ranch STEAM Lab, LLC ("we", "us"), on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web. Today that means Ripple Pool and Snakedoku, and it will cover new games as we release them. If a game does something this page doesn't describe, we'll update this page before that game ships.
The short version
- Our games have no accounts. We never ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Your progress and settings stay on your device.
- Free games may show ads. Ad partners use your device's advertising ID only if you allow personalized ads.
- Anonymous play statistics help us fix bugs. Where a game asks, they're optional, and they're always off for children.
- Players under 13 get child-safe, non-personalized ads, no tracking and no statistics.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Game by game
- Ripple Pool (iPhone and web): no ads. Optional in-app purchases go through the App Store. The iPhone version uses Unity Analytics for basic anonymous usage and device statistics. The web version saves your daily results in your browser only.
- Snakedoku (iPhone, iPad and Android): ads through Unity LevelPlay, optional anonymous play statistics through Unity Analytics, and an age check on first launch.
Stored on your device
Our games save things like your level, score, collected items, streaks, settings and your privacy choices on your device. Snakedoku's age check stores your birth year on your device so it knows which privacy rules apply. None of this is sent to us. Deleting the game, or clearing your browser data for a web game, removes it.
Ads
Some of our games are free and show ads. We use Unity LevelPlay to choose ads from ad networks such as Unity Ads. To show an ad, measure it and stop fraud, these partners may collect:
- Your device's advertising ID (IDFA on Apple devices, Advertising ID on Android), but only if you allow personalized ads
- Your IP address and approximate location (country or city) worked out from it
- Device details such as model, operating system, language and screen size
- How you interact with ads, such as views and taps
Personalized ads are your choice. On first launch, players 13 and older choose whether ads may be personalized. On iPhone and iPad, personalized ads also need your permission in Apple's tracking prompt. If you say no to either, you'll still see ads, but they won't use your advertising ID or be based on your activity in other apps. Saying no also opts you out of the sale or sharing of your data under US state privacy laws, and withholds consent under the GDPR.
The ad partners handle this data under their own privacy policies. See Unity's player privacy policy.
Play statistics
Snakedoku asks if it may send anonymous play statistics, such as which levels you start and finish, how many hints you use, and whether the game crashed. They use Unity Analytics, which also receives a random ID made for this install, your device model and operating system, and your country worked out from your IP address. Statistics help us fix bugs and tune difficulty. In Snakedoku they're off unless a player aged 13 or older says yes, and they're never collected from children. Ripple Pool on iPhone sends basic anonymous usage and device statistics to Unity Analytics; it has no ads and no age check.
In-app purchases
Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of what you bought so the game can unlock it. We never see your name, card or billing details. Apple's and Google's privacy policies cover those payments.
Children
Our games are made to be friendly for all ages. When a game shows ads, it asks for your birth year first. If you're under 13:
- Ads are marked as child-directed under COPPA and are never personalized.
- The game never shows the tracking prompt.
- The game never collects play statistics.
We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're a parent or guardian and think your child's information reached us or an ad partner, email us and we'll help delete it.
Your choices
- In Snakedoku: players 13 and older can switch personalized ads and play statistics on or off any time with the Personal ads and Play stats buttons at the bottom of the Snakedex screen.
- Tracking on iPhone and iPad: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Advertising ID on Android: Settings › Google › Ads, where you can delete or reset it.
- Start over: delete and reinstall the game to clear your choices and answer the privacy questions again. The age check can't be changed inside the game, so children can't switch off their protections.
- Delete your data: uninstalling removes everything stored on your device. To ask us to delete play statistics or exercise any other right, email us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EU, the UK and US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or limit how it's used, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted ads. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for personalized ads and play statistics, and on our legitimate interest in funding free games for non-personalized ads and fraud prevention.
Keeping and moving data
We only keep play statistics as long as they're useful for improving our games, and Unity deletes them on its own schedule. Our partners may process data in the United States and other countries, with safeguards such as the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect, we'll update this page before that version of the game is released.
